In Acts 20:35 we read the words of Jesus, where He said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive” (The New King James Version). The last two sermons have been spent looking at what we receive at Christmas, but now we want to talk about what we should be giving. God sent us many wonderful gifts that first Christmas in the form of the Ultimate gift, Jesus Christ, but we were never meant to hoard these.
In this message I want to look at the commands of Christ, what He tells us to do in response to are amazing blessings. If Jesus said that it is more blessed to give, we should believe Him! We should take this seriously and look into just how we can give to others. Not only should we do this, we should be very worried if we don't feel a strong compulsion to do so! Join in to see why as we look once again at 1 John 3-4 and Philippians 2. May you be blessed as you receive God's gift, but even more blessed as you share it!
