CJ first asked Abby out on February 19 2019 with a box of chocolates at the Well Coffee house which was connected to their highschool. This is their first picture together when CJ asked Abby to formal in the spring.
CJ and Abby have been dating for a year! This picture is at their senior year formal that was planned by some classmates after the 2020 senior year got shut down from COVID. CJ and Abby made social distanced dating work for a few months but were very ready for summer.
After highschool graduation, CJ started school at Bloomsburg University and Abby went to Miracle Mountain Ranch’s School of Discipleship (4hrs away). About a month in, Abby and CJ “took a break”. Not enjoyed by either, but the time was well used by God for growth. CJ came to be a camp counselor in the summer, and in the end they were together again. In August Abby graduated and then it was off to Lancaster Bible College!
Abby and CJ continued to grow their love through college, CJ often coming to visit Abby in Lancaster on Saturdays. This picture if from their 3 year anniversary at a park in Litiz. There were many long talks of is there a way for us to make marriage happen and be a college student. Despite feeling impatient they decided this is where God had them for the time. (Abby knew she would not want to be a student if she was a wife).
Then comes July of 2024….. CJ has finished his undergrad and Abby has just one semester left! CJ and Abby visited Cook’s Forrest, a childhood stomping ground of CJ’s for a little day trip. They went as boyfriend girlfriend and came back as fiancés! They were pretty stoked.
Not only did CJ plan the proposal perfectly; but he gathered their family and Abby’s best friends to surprise them at the church when they got back to Abby’s house.
