In Ephesians 4 we read:
"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (NKJV)"
Before Easter we studied about the importance of the whole church working together to accomplish God's work, giving a special emphasis to the fact that God has sufficiently equipped us to do His work. This Sunday I want to focus on the Pastor/Teachers job - what is it? Is just about preaching, marrying, and burying? What has God called a Pastor to do? How does he go about the work of equipping? Essentially, I want to talk this week about the Pastor's biblical job description so that we can all be evaluating my work on the proper basis. I look forward to having you join us!
