God has given a mandate to all Christians to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel”. For the early part of my life, Churches in America seemed to focus mainly on supporting missionaries in other places. In the last 2 decades the focus has been on local missions, to the detriment of taking the Gospel internationally. It is clear that God wants us to be spreading the Gospel everywhere (Acts 1:8), near and far. It has been a goal of mine lately to make sure our church is keeping a good balance. Toward that end we have a missionary family with us who literally minister on the other side of the globe.
