One of Satan’s most effective deceptions is convincing us that what happens on Sunday morning is disconnected from the rest of life. He wants us to view church attendance as little more than a religious ritual, something we do out of habit that has little or no influence on how we live the other six days of the week. Nothing could be further from God’s design.
If you belong to the universal church, the body of all who have been saved through faith in Christ, you should also be committed to a local church. And that commitment should shape every area of your life. A healthy, biblical church provides continual exposure to God’s truth through both His Word and the example of His people. As believers gather, grow, serve, and worship together, they are equipped to honor Christ in their homes, workplaces, relationships, and communities.
